Chinese Magic Mask with Fire Blowing!

That was interesting I can across an event that with Chinese Magic Mask with Fire Blowing!I can see many Chinese Magic Mask changing performance but this is my first time seeing the Chinese Magic Mask master doing Fire Blowing in the event. I like their ‘gong fu’ posing style, especially the female master’s posing was really different and nice.Met Ravi in the event, he was really talented, can sing very well in Malay songs and many Mandarin, Hokien song s as well! He had sang ‘Ai Pia Jiu Hui Yeah’ today! (Chinese Hokien song)This Senior guest in his age 93 had sang a nice Malay song in this event! Whao!Snake Charmer Sabum Miya! Sabu Miya was 20 year in the event industry,one of the most popular Snake Charmer in Singapore.This is not food, this is Sabu's snake! ( I know I always like eat snake (try to be lazy and not working hard) but in this photo is real snake! Heehee!)This is my favourite 'Mee Siam' breakfast!and my favourite Asahi sets!!!!! Ngiak ngiak ngiak!

Caricature in Mingling Way

Just completed a show yesterday as mingling caricaturists, the venue is at Singapore Turf Club.This is my very first time doing event in the VIP function room down here, because in the pass time, those events I did here usually is at the outdoor.Alex Tan, one of famous magician in Singapore, he is also a Chinese Magic Opera Mask Change Artist （变脸）was doing his great performance for the guests. I know Alex many years but seldom meet him during the event, that was great to meet him down here.Serious I don’t know how to see this score at all because I never bet before. Haahaa!

Chinese Mask Changing Magic

Passing by Ang Mo Kio Hub, from the promotion poster just realized that Alex Tan (http://www.AlexTheMagician.com )was doing Chinese Mask Changing Magic 变脸 in Ang Mo Kio Hub shopping Mall at 10th, 11th, 17th, 23th January at 5.00pm. Alex Tan is a very experience artist and magician in our trait for many years.变脸 (Chinese Mask Changing Magic), which is an unique opera art in China, traditionally that is a secret that not allow to teach any foreigner or any female as their rules, if you red the new about the famous Hong Kong actor/singer Andy Lau’s incident which had been reject to be a student of a Chinese Mask Changing Magic Master few years ago, that you will know how strict the rules they are.

Anyway, maybe due to the changing of the rule of China and related organization, Alex Tan was one of the Singaporean Artist who learnt this China’s unique skill; another Singaporean who learnt this skill as well is magician Terrence Sylvester (Chinese), other then that, that will be Choi brothers which is the longers Chinese Mask Changing Magic performers in Singapore.

There are another female Chinese Mask Changing Magic artist in Singapore which from China within my knowledge.

Getai, an entertainment during Chinese LUnar 7th month

Today, Chinese Lunar month’s last day of 7th month, you still able to see the Getai’ street concert show, not the last day of it nuy is second last day having chance to see it, maybe thet related organisation made it last day’s performance on Sunday, that’s why tomorrow we still got chance to see it.

The programme of the concert other than singer’s performance, it also having some jokes present by the emcee with the singers, this yest we also can see a ‘Chinese Opera Mask Changing’ “变脸” perfomance in some Getai, as long the organiser arranged the budget for it, because it is an expensive item to hire a Mask Changing Artist in an event. There only few Chinese Opera Mask Changing artist in Singapore, most of them are from china.
The attraction of the Getai is usually can see many singers in fancy costume especially the female singers, they apperaence are the main soul of the Getai show. The Getai ever getting ‘Old’ because after many years performance in chinese lunar 7th month, the song always old song, the singers mostly older age etc..May be due to the movie “881” and “12 Lotus” given a new life of the Getai, attracted much more youger group audiences. You also can see more younger singers in the Getai show now.I like ‘宝贝姐妹’(Bao Bei sisters, I just translated it direct, did not know their english team name) because they are sween and sexy! They even have fan to do make up and hleping them during the Getai show!
