Chinese New Year Events Preparation

Chinese New Year is coming in a extra early this year, the eve of Chinese New Year fall on 25th Jan and 26th Jan Monday is the first day of Chinese New Year, there left 23 days from the time I post this blogging.

Just like Chinese theme artists, I need to prepare lots of pre made stuffs, because the Chinese Paper Cutting involved some designs other than the traditional basic patterns. Usually the most popular cutting will be the zodiac based on the New Year; like the coming New Year was year of Ox (己丑年); other than that, the rest of the cutting was mostly about wealth and lucks.My face reading and palm reading display stuffs.My Power Suit! I will become “Power Ranger” while I wear it!! Hia hia hia!Time flies as arrow, so I have to work harder in 2009, haahaa!

Mid Autumn Festival Event

Did 2 events today for two places during these few climax day of the seasonal “Mid Autumns Festival Celebrations”. Completed the Palmistry introduction at Limbang Shopping Centre at 6.45pm, then quickly rush to Senja Road Blk 630, Park area for another caricature booking at 7.00pm! That really ‘Kan Cheong’ (nervous) for me because as an event artist, never been allowed to be late! Luckily I managed to make it.! Phew!The event at Senja Blk 630 was quiet fun, the residence down there was friendly as I met in past events at this place, that was really great! In this event, the happier peoples were the children, they really enjoy carrying the lanterns and doing the candles lighting!So do the adults!My caricature ‘booth’ was always long queue! No chance for me to think about a relaxing job, haahaa!That was great to met Wong’s Dragon Bead Candy in the event as well.

Event booking during Mid Autumn Celebration

Due to Mid Autumn Festival Celebration is Chinese Event, the event activities for fringe art booking during this period usually are Chinese lantern making demo, dough figurine demo, fortune telling, Chinese calligraphy and related Chinese culture related items.

Talking about great calligraphy, I prefer Dorby Yip and Angela (his wife), Mr Yong Cheong Thye (www.yong_gallery.com)

Talking about rainbow calligraphy, I think the only best one is Dorby Yip and Angela, you can found them at DFS Orchard Singapore, or Chinatown. I know them many years, they were from Hong Kong, many china artists was tried to copy their calligraphy art style, but none of them was successful so far.There were lots more calligrapher around of course, but they are the most popular that with high standard.

I like Mr Lee Kim Kuan’s calligraphy as well, his calligraphy usually in big size and written in a very creative way.The rest of the popular local calligrapher hired by event companies including Mdm Tang, Margaret, Edwin’s father (From Pho Leng Liondance), Mr Lee Boon Chye and etc.

There were few hot day I known was 12th sep, 13th sep and 14th sep, which is the main event date for Chinese’s ‘Mid Autumn Festival’. I had been hired as fortune teller, caricaturist and also doing silhouette cutting in these three different days for different events.

An event at Marina Mandarin Hotel

Did a pre-event for NTUC-ARU dinner and dance at Marina Mandarin Hotel, this time I am not in-charge caricature drawing, I in-charge fortune telling item, as a palmist; because the theme is Shanghai Night.I am a professional palmist and face reader, not just because of the theme made me swop from a caricaturist to a palmist. I had studied related metaphysics from different masters and spent lots courses fees..

I like Marina Mandarin Hotel’s building design, and the interior of it as well.

For the pre-event activities, other then my palm reading, there also having chinese calligraphy on chinese fan by My Yung Cheong Thye, one of the famous and professional locqal calligrapher in Singapore, and also having ‘dragon bead candy’, chinese flour doll figurine making demo, airbrush fake tattto and glamour shoots around.

Face Reading Class (Physiognomy Studies)

I had completed a face reading course (physiognomy) from Mastery Academy, taught by Master Joey Yap. It was great to know more new things and knowledge in my face studies, hence it improves my fortune telling skills and human faces observation method.I got classmate from Japan and France! Heehee!That wa s complex looked coffee machine in the class room, it tooks 20 minuntes for me to study how to use it.Ah! Just take the special packed coffee bag and insert into it then press button, thats' it. Very high-tech!

My Metaphysics Teachers

Talking about metaphysics, I preferred keep it in low profile, unfortunately, when come to event jobs issues, some people tried to stab behind me, I force to show some pictures about my metaphysics masters.

People who study metaphysics which commonly called “fortune telling”, was very emphasize on “karma”, which he who do good thing and have a good heart, he will get the good thing and better luck in his life and vice versa.

I had completed the long series of fortune telling event! It was so great to meet different passengers from different countries during this 15 days event in Singapore Changi Airport’s “Lucky Charm” special events. I am going to miss “my” super extra huge “office”! Heehee!And enjoy my foods!

I went to terminal 3 of change airport to have a further exploration today. It was much bigger as what I think!

Met May Toh, the dough figuring artistand Numerology and tarot card master Renae!I had one day doing my face reading cum palm reading at Terminal 2, but based the latest schedule, I will be back to in-charge budget terminal until the end of the event :(Basically, I also met other metaphysic masters in this big event, including Master Adelina Pang who present Fengshui Talk, palmist like Master Chuan, Master Khor, Master Yuki, Master Mohana, Crystal Stones Reading Master Paul, Color card reading Master Kira…wow! Big event!

Palm Reading & Face Reading at Marroitt Hotel Singapore

It's great to do a fortune telling for one of IBM's event at The Marriott Hotel Singapore. There also a Tarrot Card Reader and a Chinese Horoscope Fortune teller next to me.Lot of guests like our reading ;)
