Looking for Chinese Rainbow Calligrapher? Below are three rainbow calligrapher i often met in the event:

Yip's Rainbow Calligraphy
I know Dorby Yip and Angela Yip many years, ther were from Hong Kong, and they are doing Rainbow calligraphy since their Grandparent's generation, and they are having siblings that station at Japan, Dubai and India besides in Honh Kong, I am very sure they are the best Chinese Rainbow Calligrapher in my 21 year's entertainer life so far. Their unique writing pattern and their standard A5 size art pieces became many new comer's copying tarhttp://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gifget. Their website is: www.yipsrainbow.8m.com

Lim's Rainbow Calligraphy

Chinese Rainbow Calligraphers in Singapore

Since Singapore became a First World Country, thought our event company should be provide first world's quality event artists to entertain your guests in your event.

Due to we are having large amount of new immigrant an foreign talents who joint in the event and entertainment line, we should avoid any "Fake Talents" to prevent any embarrassing. I mean many events that having in Singapore, was having many foreigner guests, due to globalization, our foreigner guests might seen many artists in many different countries, hence if the event companies arranged cheap and/or fake artists, Foreigner guests will know it.

I am here to recommend 2 Chinese calligraphers which provided quality and real professional Chinese Calligraphy that can be trusted:

1. Yips Rainbow Calligraphy.
See: http://yipsrainbow.blogspot.com/
Yips Rainbow was new immigrant from Hong Kong and they was doing Chinese Calligraphy as family business. So many artist from China in Chinatown or China event artists was copying their writing styles. (but seems all artists from China who do events or in Chinatown failed to copy them, this is because Yip's Rainbow Calligraphy had created their original writing style through few generation already)
2. Lim's Rainbow Calligraphy
See: http://talentsdata.8m.com/limcalligraphy.htm Mr Lim who came from China had stayed in Singapore for many years. I think his work is great as well. He had been fully understood Singapore's culture as well, hence he work professionally.
Other than these 2 artists, I didn't see any quality Rainbow Calligrapher in the market so far. There do not have any Singaporean Rainbow calligrapher yet so far, I am very sure for this.

Therefore, the rest of the of the Rainbow Calligraphers all from China. Most of these China Rainbow Calligraphers was not up to quality standards, and high chances they will try collect money from the event guests even though they had been told not allow to collect money from the guests during their event booking hours.

Professional Rainbow Calligrapher that you wanted to hire for your event for no problem at all or just hire cheap and unfaithful Rainbow Calligraphers from China for your event that caused many problems and many embarrassing that spoil Singapore's reputation, that was up to your choice.

I just tell the truth and not to insult and offense any parties or races, I having many China professions friends including dancers from SDT, artists, some of my China teachers whose thought my many great things and etc.

So far, I only came across the real master Rainbow Calligraphers from China was during Chinese New Year's period, which arranged by the established shopping centers and in the yearly "River Angbao" events.

Your eyes will tell you how great these real Chinese professionals are, and showed what is real great artists from China, instead of current fake Rainbow Calligraphers whose surrounding in the event market and Chinatown in Singapore.

Chinese Fan Calligraphy

In a corporate event, especially having guests from many different countries, Chinese calligraphy on Chinese Fan is one of the most popular item that love by the guests.
I just met Mr Yong from Yong Gallery (http://yonggallerysart.blogspot.com/)recently, one of the famous Singapore Calligrapher doing his Chinese Calligraphy in the red color Chinese fans which provide by him. This Indian Parot fortune card picking fortune telling was very accurate! This is my first time to trythis Parot fortune card reading in my event life! Because usually all of us do not have the time to serve each other due to each entertainer in the event was start at the same timing.
That was so great that this Parot fortune card owner will read out your fortune from the card which picked by the Parot, because most of the Parot fortune card owner will let you read the card by youself. One of Malay cultural art demo: Ketupak making.and Indian's tradiional florist art.

Great Calligraphy

Just tidy up my room and found these A4 size calligraphy given by a young calligrapher during Chinese New Year event.I found his work was amazing, he just write the word within a second! I like his attitude and while work as a Chinese Calligrapher, he worn a proper Chinese traditional costume.

After chit chat with him and I found he is not a local artist, and his full time job is an engineer! Whao!

I did came across few good foreign calligrapher during Chinese New Year events, most of them have proper attire and great artworks like him.

I did came across local seniors calligraphers during Chinese New year events as well, unfortunately almost all of them just worn normal shirt while they doing Chinese Calligraphy demo during in the event , moreover is during Chinese New Year period! I guess this is the main reason they lost competitive ability with the young and right attitude foreign talents.

Event booking during Mid Autumn Celebration

Due to Mid Autumn Festival Celebration is Chinese Event, the event activities for fringe art booking during this period usually are Chinese lantern making demo, dough figurine demo, fortune telling, Chinese calligraphy and related Chinese culture related items.

Talking about great calligraphy, I prefer Dorby Yip and Angela (his wife), Mr Yong Cheong Thye (www.yong_gallery.com)

Talking about rainbow calligraphy, I think the only best one is Dorby Yip and Angela, you can found them at DFS Orchard Singapore, or Chinatown. I know them many years, they were from Hong Kong, many china artists was tried to copy their calligraphy art style, but none of them was successful so far. There were lots more calligrapher around of course, but they are the most popular that with high standard.

I like Mr Lee Kim Kuan’s calligraphy as well, his calligraphy usually in big size and written in a very creative way.The rest of the popular local calligrapher hired by event companies including Mdm Tang, Margaret, Edwin’s father (From Pho Leng Liondance), Mr Lee Boon Chye and etc.

There were few hot day I known was 12th sep, 13th sep and 14th sep, which is the main event date for Chinese’s ‘Mid Autumn Festival’. I had been hired as fortune teller, caricaturist and also doing silhouette cutting in these three different days for different events.

That’s lots more Chinese item for event activities’ fringe arts, will be post it in future.
