Just did a private function at Marina Barrage Singapore.
It really a 'Private Function'! Heehee!Met Rae Muthu doing airbrush tattoo in the event. Rae Muthu is a professional make up artist other than doing airbrush tattoo, face painting and henna art. You can see her at tomorrow's 'Zoukout 2009 Singapore' event at Sentosa (sat 12 dec 09). There were live band in the event. There are not Chinese, but they can sing lots mandarin and hokkien song other than standard English songs. My dinner of the day ;p

Caricature at Jurong Bird Park
Just did a caricature for a dinner and dance’s fringe activity at Jurong Bird Park yesterday. I almost lost after struggling finding the actual event venue. I saw my friend doing their rehearsal in this amphitheater, I thought my booking venue is here; luckily I call up the event company who hired me and found out the right place. Phew!I managed to take some bird photos.

The Art of Control the Crowd II
Why need crowd control? We need to ensure we are not over work during the booking hour(s), the event organisers also might need to ensure the crowd proceed to the next stage (like getting every guests seated to pay their respect and attention to the related persons’ speech eg. the chairman giving speech the guests.)
This also ensures the rest of the planned programme to be running smoothly, for example, in the dinner and dance, usually the fringe activities start from 6.30pm – 7.30pm, the guests need to be seated in the ballroom by 7.45pm and then the dancers do the opening dance from 7.45pm till 8.00pm and follow by the chairman’s speech etc, every scheduled programming have to be execute in time!
Especially during the peak period of company dinner and dance like November and December, many entertainers having tight schedules (like those dancers, magicians, Chinese opera mask changing performance, vocalists, models etc. needed to rush to another place to do their performance.) hence any delay will cause the relevant schedule go hair wired, either the event organisers or the entertainers themselves.
Imaging you supposed performance your belly dancing 8pm till 8.30pm at hotel A and your next performance will be at hotel B from 9.15pm-9.45pm, you sure pray every of your show should be done within the scheduled time frame.
We, the fringe art artists (caricaturists, silhouette cutting artists, henna, airbrushes, glamour shoot and etc have to be stop in time to help the smooth running of the event.

A day of Passing by Orchard Road
Just did palm reading for a dinner and dance at in the hotel at Orchard area.I know the traffic light at road surface for pedestrian who walk from right outside Orchard MRT to Wheelock Place had been closed and everyone have to use the underpass between the new shopping mall ION and Wheelock place. So everyone who is first times came out from Orchard MRT station was very confused, because they do not know the right direction to go to their destination, so do I.
In this so call international standard famous country, seems don’t have any officer to guide you how to use this new underpass, I just remember a comedian in an event said: “Too many people too little time, the entire officer was too busy for everything.” Haaha!
So if you are really in a hurry, for the time being if you want to go Hilton Hotel of forum or Orchard Hotel area, you should use the exit at Shaw Tower.
If you use the exit wrongly, you may take a long time to reach the other side (Wheelock Place) event it just need 5mins walk before this underpass opened.
I was unlucky took the wrong escalator, it brought me to the 4 or 5 level downward bottom floor of ION shopping mall, I unable to walk on the escalator, because the shopping mall’s escalator was moving quite slow compared with MRT’s escalator, moreover, got this kissing couple’s blocking ;(No matter how, someday I will arrange some time to take a shopping in this new ION shopping mall.

Wire Crafts in Events
Just found this old wire crafts in my cupboard, it reminded me 3 to 4years back that my first time doing wire crafts with William Lee (http://www.bigeyedog.com) in dinner and dance for pre-event. I remember William had prepared the materials and I am assisting him to do some simple wire twisting. Due to the wrong wire we bought, which it those extra thick and hard type, both of us were exhausted after the show. I told myself this is my last time doing wire crafts and won’t do it anymore in future, haahaa!Wire crafts are not a popular item in 4 years ago in the event compare with caricature or other fringe arts. With the effort of William Lee’s promotion, it became a popular item nowadays. I would say William Lee is a ‘New Generation Hero of Wire Craft Art” in the events circle!
Due to the markets demand, more wire crafts artists for the event’s fringe art activities were required, Ivan and Lee Lee (http://sg-airbrushtattoo.blogspot.com/2008/05/wire-art.html)is another Wire Crafts artists I met very often in the events. I would say they are very creative because their wire crafts are having neon and luminous effect! very nice and unique! Thought is very suitable in dim light events especially like Pubs and etc.
2 more quality wire crafts artists I met often are Jonie Tan and Madam Tang. Jonie Tan and Madam Tang was doing wire crafts art for sell in bazaar many years ago.
Madam Tang's artworks.(http://www.talentsdata.8m.com/tangsart.htm)

Caricature at Meritus Mandarin Hotel Singapore
Did an event yesterday, great to meet Ivan and Lee Lee doing airbrush tattoo(http://www.sg-airbrushtattoo.blogspot.com/)and wire crafts!!!Look at Ivan’s tools! You should not doubt his skill! Hia hia hia!The building of the new add-on shopping mall on Meritus Mandarin Hotel Singapore is on the move.
Due to the economy crisis, Orchard’s crowd was much lesser, only saw some busking artists down the street.Partial of the new look of Paragon after renovation.O! This is one new thing that belong the 'Make over of Orchard Road Project', nice artistic glass! Not sure whether they will add onj some more stuffe on that, because I see this glass was very fragile. This ‘mini column’ starting from the pedestrian walk from Border bookshop to Forum Shopping Mall was seen since last year’s November until today, I still can’t figure out what is that and what stuff they are going to put on in these ‘Make Over project’
