Event Booking Hot Day
Up to today (7 Dec) still having many people inquire caricaturist for 9th December Friday 6.30pm-7.30pm event like dinner and dance or Christmas Party. 9 Dec really a super hot date for events fringe art activities!
I repeat again: Many event companies had asking the same item same timing and same day since early October, so that will be very difficult to get caricaturist since November i guess, unless they managed to get art students to do fulfill the requirement.
An experienced caricaturist who doing commercial events like dinner and dance and dance, the quantities to be produce at least 12-20pcs drawing within an hour's booking, other than that, he or she should know how to bring in the entertainment atmosphere to the event as well as know how to handle the crowd.
Based the past experiences on the below hot date of booking caricaturists and silhouette artists, the event peoples and whoever who like to hire such fringe activities, seems they have to make decision fast enough, else just try avoid this hot date.

Tablet PC Symptom
Due to the popularity of tablet PC, more and more people using it as a communication tools, due it many of the tablet PC unable to use as a phone that allow it to perform sending SMS like normal mobile phone, it made more people communicate with each other through email; this is my observation and experience within the pass 6 months.
Seems is was a trend that change many people's behavior in communication.
In my view, seems anyone of us who had not have any tablet PC yet, should try our best to check our email as often as possible to avoid any job taken delay and related stuffs that cause us having an unexpected "slow reaction" to reply our clients or friends in such circumstances.
Thought the popularity usage of tablet PC is because it was very easy to use especially for those who no computer literacy (especially for elder group) and also due to the light weight of this device.

Stone Balancing Art
I had heard about stone balancing art from the TV News. An i just luckily to have a chance seeing a stone balancing artist arrange by the event organizer all the way from United Kingdom to perform his stone balancing art.
I saw him spend about 30 second to put this round big stone on the tip of the big stone and that is!!! That was amazing!
Hmm...maybe I should try to learn Stone Balancing Art..Heehee!

Hot Day for Dinner and Dance: 25 Nov & 9 Dec
There are many event companies was keep asking caricaturist for their event on 25 Nov and 9 Dec since early October, and up to now still having people asking for these 2 dates for 6.30pm-7.30pm's event.
All of us wish can take as many job as possible but unfortunately, it only happened 6.30pm-7.30pm or 6.00pm-7.00pm, so that is so call had dates hot times, it only happened once in each year.
I checked my past postings, seems most of the hot date was fall on 7-11th of December for past few years.

Chinese Paper Cutting Preparation
As per next year's Chinese New Year is coming earlier at 22nd January Sunday as Chinese New Year Eve, there were some event companies start to inquiry some related fringe arts activities, including my Chinese paper cutting. Seems I have to work harder to prepare the time consuming Chinese paper pre-cut zodiac and related designs.
Due to usually Chinese new year fall on 2nd-14th Feb, year of 2012's Chinese new year came quite early, hence there are shorter time for event companies to arrange Chinese New Year's activities, therefore many event management was asking related stuffs start from this month.

My Entertainer Friend on Newspaper
Great to see my entertainer/artist friend's photo on last Sunday's The Strait Times and Zaobao. She is Body art specialist Katherine Mah from Little Crystal Paint, she is the most beautiful body art professional I cam across during my event life so far.

One of my entertainer friend which known about 15 years long recommend my caricature service to this world class and very famous boutique company for their coming charity event in Paragon Singapore recently.
I had emailed my works and photos of drawing with Singapore's past president and current Singapore's President, I had went to their office at Orchard Road to show do a live drawing and had interviewed by them; thought everything week before last last week and thought everything was fine since they told me the final approval have to be decide by Italy's main branch.
Whether I been selected or not, not important to me.
Last Thursday afternoon, one lady called my while I still in Bangkok waiting my flight back to Singapore, claimed she from this company (which their company name start with "G", a real world class boutique company!).
She told me I have to wear black attire in their charity event on 12 Oct, and I have to do roving caricature and must use black color drawing board. I wonder how come she called me for this since I already being told about all these while I had been interview by their Communication Manager who in charge Malaysia and Singapore branches at about 28th or 29th September.
She had questioned me some very insulting and unprofessional question:
"Are your attire look professional?" , "The drawing board you are using must be black color", "What bag you are using to put your drawing pens? Is it looks professional? It must look very professional!"
I found that was REALLY INSULTING QUESTION!!! Because I had emailed my related data to indicated that I had been doing my caricature drawing since 1990!
That was really strange that this world class boutique company had someone called me up to ask my such a question even if I already sent my job records and interviewed by their regional manager!!!!!!
Thought I might reflect this incident to their main branch which located at Italy!!!
The lady who called me was can't be understood! What's wrong with her that totally never deal with her colleagues before she call me?
