Did shrink art keychain at ION Sky yesterday. That was my first time doing event at at this venue.

Singapore National Day Event

Did caricature for Singapore's National Day Event recently and great to meet some old friends in the event as well.

Nice indian dance by young students.

There are inflatable children playground and varnishing food stalls in the event.

There are beautiful singer in the event as well.

Did shrink art caricature recently for a private party at Fort Canning.

Mid Autumn Chinese Paper Cutting

Just taken few hours to do research and spend few hours again to reproduce a Chinese paper cutting design that suits for the Mid Autumn Festival Theme.
The flower design was from clip art and the text and overall design and layout out was was by my own idea.

I spent about 4 hours to cut this 5 pieces stack of red paper artwork. The reason to stack 5 pieces paper to cut out the artwork because it able to produce 5 pieces art pieces at a time. The reason for 5pieces stacked of paper to be cut at a time is because based on normal human's hand strength, it was the reasonable thickness of the papers to be cut at a time by human hand.

Chinese Paper is a time consuming item. Hence, for fringe events activity wise, it was hard to produce on the spot like caricature drawing or silhouette cutting and etc.
I think Chinese paper cutting was one of the tough item for fringe activity, because it need really long hours to do the preparation if you demand on the quality.

Event at Hong Lim Park Singapore

Under the arrangement by event company, I did an hour's caricature drawing for the guest in the event yesterday.

Long time did not go to this area and found that there are a large shelter had been built and had a new building down there as well.

There are huge inflatable projector movie screen in the event.

Singapore's National Day was near, and great to see these helicopters passing by us for the National Day Celebration rehearsal.

Roving Caricature in Block Party

Did roving caricature drawing in a block party last week.
To do caricature in a roving style, need some different technique, basically you need to know how to handle the crowd and also depend what kind of crowd in the event.

Donna Daniel and her dancers was performing on the stage. Donna was very famous in the event industry and had been many years in the industry as well.

Caricature for Family Day

Did caricature drawing in a family day event at Sentosa last Saturday. It was a sunny and hot day. That was great to meet the nice guests in this event.

That was an interesting big "playground" next to our event.

Passing by the link between Johor Bahru Custom Malaysia and City Square Shopping Mall, saw this "Don't Be Cheated by Scratch and win" big signboard.

After the set up of this signboard, seems no more "Scratch and Win" stuffs on the link to catch people join their "Scratch and Win" stuffs ;p

My friend and I was thinking to go IKEA in Johor Bahru as per viewed the info from internet, we had taken sometime to find out the place and realized that there wasn't any IKEA in JB (Johor Bahru), maybe some sort of reason that cause the set up terminated. Below was the skeleton building we believed could be IKEA that nest to Jusco Tebrau and Tesco Tebrau ;p

Event for Chinese Dumpling Festival

Did Chinese Paper Cutting demo for a Chinese Dumpling Festival for RC event last month.

One of the fringe activity was dumpling making, some resident was joining the dumpling making and enjoying this session.

There are calligrapher writing the name for the resident.

The Kung Fu Tea performance was attracted many audiences, the master was real skillful ;p

Fortune Telling for Private Event

Did a private event as fortune telling in palm reading and face reading in Artscience Museum, and that was very different experience due to the theme was "Harry Potter", everything was set up in the related theme and I was wore a costume as the Harry Potter movie arranged by the event company while at work.

It happen that my hair style looks like the bad guy in Harry Potter movie: "Lord Voldemort", so once I wore the costume, I look alike with him, so I became "Lord Voldemort" ! Heehee!
